A thrill and a twist

Over on Blogcritics I’ve a review of Robert Harris’s The Ghost, rather closely based on recent British political events, which I was reading in the early hours of this morning, when I should have been sleeping – be warned, once you’ve picked it up you’re unlikely to put it down until the end.

It isn’t brilliant, the satire is in places a bit obvious, but is a genuinely fun read.

But I do hope Harris goes back to his historical thrillers after this – his talent is better employed there.
