Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists takes literary turn

The Carnival of Feminists No 49 is now up on Days in a wannabe punk’s life, and a superb, varied and lively collection it is. There’s a distinctly literary bent, range from the early 20th-century utopia of Herland to anime, and there’s a broad international sweep and many blogs that I haven’t seen in the carnival before.

Simply unmissable – so don’t hang around here – do go over there and check it out.

Carnival of Feminists

Feminist Carnival No 48

Bring out the drum roll, tune up the trombones …. the Feminist Carnival No 48 is now up on Feminist Fire. And there’s some great stuff there – the account of an American football game on Feminist Law Professors has to be read to be believed, and an account of a horrific week in Australia.

But don’t hang around here – do hop over and check it out!

Carnival of Feminists

Drumroll please … Carnival of Feminists No 47

The latest carnival is now up on Ornamenting Away. And a spectacularly rich and diverse collection it is – from the state of New Zealand blokedom (our first NZ? or perhaps just our first explicitly NZ? post), a new work, “vajayjay” – with which I was not previously familiar, and much, much more.

But please don’t waste time over here – do go over there and check it out.

(But you might want to pop back afterwards and think about whether you’d like to host such a festival yourself – I’ve still got a slot this year, or in the new year… don’t be shy!)

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 46….

Bring out the trumpets, the drumrolls, the lot: the 46th Carnival of Feminists is now up on Cubically Challenged, so, I’m pleased to say, back to the sub-continent for the second time.

There is a rhetorical penis, Zimbabwean politics, the Tamil Punkster, and much, much more fascinating stuff.

It is a great collection, so don’t waste time here – go over there and check it out.

(And if you fancy doing something similar, I’m looking for future hosts: don’t be shy – drop me an email at natalieben AT gmail DOT com. You might be a new hand, or a veteran blogger, you might blog most about politics, or about books, or about ???? – you just have to be a feminist.)

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 45

Bring out the trumpets, the drumroll – the Carnival of Feminists No 45 is now up on Feminist Philosophers and jender has done a spectacularly good job – there’s a notably fine international content, beyond Europe and North America, stretching from Egypt to Bangladesh and beyond, some accounts that will make your blood boil, and a couple of lovely historical celebrations.

But don’t waste time here – please go over there and check it out!

(And after you’ve done that, if you’re a feminist blogger who hasn’t yet hosted a carnival, please think about doing so – and drop me a line if you are interested.)

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists Time

Time to sit back, relax, get out a glass of your favourite tipple, and have a good read. Yup – the Carnival of Feminists No 44 is now up on the Reproductive Rights Blog.

Some fine stuff there – let the Catholic Church raise your blood pressure, or think more calmly about just what goes into GDP.

But don’t waste time here – hop over there and check it out!
