Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 38

Slightly delayed by the joys of Blogger (isn’t it nice to get out of it!), but worth waiting for, the Carnival of Feminists No 38 is now up on Team Rainbow.

Definitely the most colourful yet – living up to the rainbow name, there’s “philosophical feminists leaping through epistemological hoops, the audience cheering and jeering in the stands, the fire-swallowing radicals compelling us to see it another way, and the multiple oppression trapeze artists leaping across the chaos to make a connection from one oppressive paradigm to another”.

How could you miss it? So don’t waste time here; pop over there and check it out!

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 37

It is huge, it is ginormous – a tremendous percentage of the feminist blogosphere is here, on the Carnival of Feminist No 37, now up on KitKat’s Critique.

I was going to start counting the number of posts – it must be getting towards treble figures, but it is too late in the day, and anyway, much better to read a selection than count!

And don’t waste time over here – please go over there and check it out!

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 36 – Wow, a new record

… not one parts, not two parts, but a three-part Carnival of Feminists – that’s what you call spectacular.

It is now up on Fetch Me My Axe – and there’s a brilliant, wideranging collection there, starting with female-female relationships, a suffragette grandmother, a “mad woman downstairs”, and much more. Part 2 turns to politics, and particularly the horrific abortion ruling in the US, and part 3 to work and some very personal politics.

But don’t waste time here – go over there and check it out!!

Carnival of Feminists

It is huge, it is enormous, it is carnival

Over on The F-Word is the The Carnival of Feminists No 35 – and it is one spectacular collection – there’s the story of the moment (harassment of female bloggers and others online).

I love: “It’s not the hormonal rages. It’s the difference in wages.”

But there’s much more – from Saudi Arabia, to India, to Wales, with all points in between.

But don’t waste time over here – go over there to check it out!

Carnival of Feminists

Get into the big top…

The next Carnival of Feminists (no 35 for those who like to keep score) is coming up fast, on April 4, and I think I can safely predict that on The F-Word, it is going to be a biggie. Now’s a good time to get your nominations in.

Carnival of Feminists

Drumroll please…

Over on The Greatest Blog You’ll (Probably) Never Read (hopefully now a misnomer!), is the Carnival of Feminists No 33, and a spectacular carnival it is too. Carly has done a great job, starting with the biggie “what is feminism?”, venturing through serious (the death of a Pakistani activist), the delightful (that scrotum debate – what else can you call a dog’s balls?), and the “reassuring” (Ten out of Ten Bears Prefer Beef Fat to Menstrual Blood).

Don’t waste time here – go over there and check it out!

(But when you’ve finished that, probably a few hours later, you might also like to visit Scientiae Carnival Number 1, addressing issues around gender and science/engineering.)
