Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists – what a fortnight!

The Carnival of Feminists No 32 is now up on Bumblebee Sweet Potato, and what a period she had to cover, with the huge American row over two feminist bloggers, Amanda from Pandagon & Melissa from Shakespeare’s Sister. If you haven’t heard at least a snatch of that, you must have been suffering a long internet outage… but catch up with the latest and best commentary in the carnival.

But roll up, roll up, if that doesn’t appeal, there’s a lot, lot more… about a forced renaming of the Vagina Monologues (I mean, hello!), reproductive rights, and much more.

Don’t waste time over here – do go over and check it out ….

But ah, before you do, I will not that I am looking for future hosts, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now would be a great time to speak up.

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists No 31 (in two! parts)

It’s big; it’s huge; it’s ginormous … Okay I think you’ve got the message.

Carnival of Feminists No 31 is now up on Truly Outrageous and it is truly spectacular: you could start at part one and then go on to part two, or even reverse that if you’re feeling contrary.

Doesn’t matter; you’ll still get a spectacular collection of feminists posts: there’s some hugely powerful work on the situation of disadvantaged women in the US, particularly in accessing health care (all those being nasty about the NHS please note). Then there’s happy memories of Tillie Olsen and Molly Ivins, and then a venture to the wilds of philosophy.

BUt don’t waste time here – go over there and check it out!

(And apologies for the late notice on my part – I can only claim in my own defence the distraction of holidays…)

Carnival of Feminists

Carnival of Feminists – last chance…

Carnival No 31 is coming up on Truly Outrageous on Wednesday, which means you need to get your nominations in round about right now – to ppoussin AT gmail DOT com, or you can use the Blog Carnival submission form.

Carnival of Feminists

Drumroll please … Carnival of Feminists No 30

There’s been a little break over Christmas, since I’ve decided to stick to the official “first and third Wednesday” timing, so you should be feeling hungry for the new Carnival of Feminists. Hunger no longer – No 30 is now up on The Feminist Pulse, and it is an superb carnival, entirely worth the wait.

Among the highlights is a post from Elizabeth on A Blog Without A Bicycle, who hosted Carnival No 26, features for setting out her entire research project, appropriately enough titled: “Carnival Collectivities: Blogging and the Formation of Online Feminist Networks”. Is that postmodern or what? (In a good way of course.)

There’s some of the huge Christmas rows of the feminist blogosphere, should you need to catch up, but also a great many subjects to start your mind off in new directions.

Don’t waste time here – go over and check it out!

Carnival of Feminists

A spectacular Carnival of Feminists

Sandy has just put up a spectacular Carnival of Feminists No 29 – particularly strong on science and history blogs, so a lot there after my own heart, including some wonderful new blogs I haven’t previously spotted.

I was also greatly taken by All Girl Army – for New Zealanders aged 10 to 23. Great idea!

But don’t waste time here – do go over to the carnival and check out all the goodies … (There’s even a sprig of holly.)

Carnival of Feminists

Drumroll please…. Carnival of Feminists No 28

The Carnival of Feminists No 28 is now up on Diary of a Freak Magnet, and Ginger has done an absolutely spectacular job, one that should put to bed once and for all the claim that feminists don’t have a sense of humour. It is huge, and it is comprehensive, and you should be over there right this second reading it.

… and a special thank you to Ginger for compiling the carnival with no help whatsoever from me. My regular readers will understand that I’ve been seriously distracted over the past couple of weeks!
