(The selected post is on backyard chickens, something I&#8217;m at least half serious contemplating should my long drawn-out, complicated house purchase finally ever come off &#8211; one serious barrier being that the lease apparently doesn&#8217;t correspond to the actual structure, which the sellers&#8217; solicitor refuses to acknowledge &#8211; fun, fun.)<\/p>\n<p>And there&#8217;s also a nice little <a href = \"http:\/\/bloodandtreasure.typepad.com\/blood_treasure\/2007\/05\/mcupdate.html\">expose<\/a> of an McDonald&#8217;s supporting MP &#8211; World Cup tickets anyone?<\/p>\n<p>Heading into older dirt, <a href = \"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com\/aardvarchaeology\/2007\/05\/carnivalesque_27_1.php\">Carnivalesque No 27<\/a> (this one focusing on ancient and early modern history) is now up on Aardvarchaeology.
