Are you missing a big toe?
If so, the archaeologists want you to serve a great cause.
“Researchers intend to make a replica of the “Cairo toe”, a bending leather and wood attachment that they believe could be the world’s earliest practical prosthetic.
They are seeking volunteers, who are missing big toes on their right feet, to test their theory that the fake toe helped its original user to walk.”
(Well it is a great way for the tourism authority to get a free plug…)

I lost my right big toe when I was three years old. It got stuck in the spokes of a bicycle. I am 41 years old and am a veteran of the USAF. I served 8 years without it but I am having difficulties as I age. I find this story very interesting!

I am missing my right big toe due to amputation from arthritis and diabetes. I would LOVE to try your prosthesis! I am afraid to show my feet, cannot wear sandals or dressy shoes, won’t go to the beach or pools anymore. Please feel free to contact me!

I’m missing my big toe because of a transplant. I got into a fireworks accident a year ago, and i lost my thumb. At the time i wanted a thumb more than a toe, so i did a transplant and it didnt work. No toe, or thumb. Now i cant wear half my shoes and im a teenager!!! No heels, no cute flip flops, no sandals…this sucks.
