Note to self: taking the laptop on holiday is OK. Staying in a hotel with WiFi isn’t. Although in part I blame Gordon Brown for making it so hard to keep out of things.

For next time, can anyone recommend a desert island? Without WiFi – although a half-hour row each way to the WiFi could be OK, about the right balance.
