Over on My Paris Your Paris I’ve been musing on two of the great images of women in Paris – the Mona Lisa and the lady in the “Lady and the Unicorn” tapestries. It is the latter that find much finer as a work of art – there’s much more depth and meaning there, I’d argue.
(My other favourite is Delacroix’s Liberty Leading the People. Subtlety is not one of its attributes, but you could hardly get better inspirational art.)
